Making the city more beautiful and life more comfortable. That’s Fenixco’s mission. How? By demolishing what’s ugly and building what’s beautiful and attractive. “Like a phoenix rising from its ashes, we let neighborhoods and buildings rise. We create new architecture with impact.”
Driven, passionate, and familial. That’s Fenixco in three words. With over three generations of building experience in their genes, Henry and Hélène Bostoen feel at home in project development and architecture. They were brought up with it.
Fifteen years ago, Henry made a conscious choice to remove drab spots in the city and replace them with new, progressive residential neighborhoods. “At first, we took advice from architects. Now, they ask us for advice. Because they know we are passionate about beauty and aesthetics. And because they know we are constantly seeking new insights and innovative techniques.”
“Demolishing something ugly gives us great pleasure. Because we know what beauty we can create in its place.”
Henry and Hélène’s drive is simple: to create aesthetic added value in the city with buildings that are beautiful, attractive, safe, and inviting. “Demolishing something ugly gives us tremendous pleasure,” Henry smiles. “Especially because we know what beauty we can create in its place.”
“We won’t be satisfied until we see our signature on many buildings and neighborhoods. And when we see well-maintained flowers and plants on the terraces. Then we know the people living there are happy.”
Elegant details, high-quality architecture, and happy people are the connecting factors in all Fenixco projects.
“We won’t be satisfied until we see well-maintained flowers and plants on the terraces. Then we know the people living there are happy.”
Being selective is one way to maintain high quality. Being personally available is another. “That extra effort, that personal touch: that’s what sets us apart,” says Hélène. For example, by making last-minute plan adjustments possible or treating residents to a boat trip or food truck. “These are not miracles, but our way of being accessible. To be a sounding board and bring people together. We want to be proud of what we realize. And that’s only possible with beautiful architecture and satisfied customers.”
“We want to be proud of what we realize. That’s only possible with beautiful architecture and happy customers. If that means making an extra effort, we gladly do it.”
Many criteria must be met for each project, such as excellent accessibility in the city center. But one surprising criterion stands out: each project is always unique. “In every new development, we introduce new technology that enhances quality and comfort,” like smart mailboxes or car lifts.
Or innovative forms of mobility. “The city evolves, technology evolves. As a developer, we want to be more than up to date. We want to be a leader in comfort and quality.” That’s also why we choose a different architect for each project. This way, new insights continue to flow, and a cross-pollination of ideas occurs.
Fenixco is a family business. Projects are financed or guaranteed with their own resources, with Henry and Hélène leading the company together. Henry is the developer, and Hélène manages internal organization and future strategy. “As a family, we have three advantages: we trust each other 100%, we remain good friends after a discussion, and we focus on the long term. In real estate, this is essential. Both for us as developers and for our customers.”
“Society evolves, the city evolves, technology evolves.
Our projects are more than up to date. They are leaders in comfort and quality.”
